Altogether is being opened slowly and on purpose. A trip involves several families and a fixed weekend, and there is no version of getting that wrong that is recoverable afterwards — so the early ones get looked after individually.

An email address is all that is asked for here, and it is used to tell you when a seat opens and for nothing else. There is no position number, no queue to jump, and no invitation to share it around — the point of opening slowly is that it stays slow.
